Education
I graduated summa cum laude from Loyola College in Maryland with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Math with a GPA of 3.899. I also completed a year of film and animation graduate school at RIT.
Experience
I have 17 years of tutoring experience, during which time I have tutored well over 100 students ages 7-21 in a wide variety of subjects. One of the things I enjoy the most about being a tutor is never knowing quite what subject matter I’ll be working on for that particular day until I’m face to face with a student. I have also taught 7th and 8th grade Latin and 5th grade Math Workshop, as well as substituted for many other middle school subjects. I received an 800 on the math portion of the SAT and a 730 on the verbal. I also received a 5 on the AP Latin exam. I have tutored the SAT, ACT, PSAT, ISEE, SSAT, and the MCVSD entrance tests, plus all of middle school and most of high school. In the current situation, I have switched over to tutoring exclusively through FaceTime. It goes well and I have been able to keep my students on track during online schooling, filling in the gap that often exists when the students aren’t receiving face to face instruction from their teachers.
