Experience
I have been a teacher nearly twenty years and worked as an assistant to a veterinarian. I use a direct approach of teaching by taking people out of the classroom and putting them in a real field work environment so they can get more experience than just reading facts from books. I am strong in teaching anatomical and physiological science. I would like to tutor in science lab techniques. I want my students to develop as strong a love for biology as I have. I have a passion for the outdoors almost as intense as my desire to teach students. I have explored rivers and jungles in Central America. I hunted wild animals in America. I have hiked more miles in rugged terrain than many of my peers ever dreamed of. Throughout all my adventure traveling I continued to study the plants and animals I came in contact with. That should be the goal of any true naturalist out in the wilderness. I even continue to explore my own yard for any plant or animal life I might have not yet observed. My explorations can lead me into some good discussions with my students about the biological environment of the areas I have been in.
