Education
I graduated from Rowan University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Writing Arts. I am also certified in Special Education through my degree. I received the New Jersey STARS scholarship upon graduating high school and graduated college with outstanding honors (Cum Laude).
Experience
During my undergraduate studies, I volunteered for three years at Head Start Preschool in Howell, NJ in order to gain experience working with young children & other school professionals. Upon graduating college, I began substituting regularly for the Jackson, NJ school district. I was the building substitute for the 2011-2012 school year. I spent each day rotating between 3rd, 4th and 5th grade basic skills math. I have also substituted for classes ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade. I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to help students achieve their learning goals, while improving their study skills and confidence in the classroom. I consider myself to be an extremely reliable, dedicated, personable and professional individual. I strive to improve my skills with any tutoring opportunity that comes my way. I believe that this will positively reflect in my future teaching career.
